Door manner obedience is one of my favorites. Lego does not rush the door and he looks to me for his next command or release word. Good boy!
A graduate of Tarheel Canine Academy in Sanford, NC, I approach dog training in a very balanced way. I’ve been working with dogs for 6 years and I truly enjoy teaching dogs obedience where they are then pleasurable in the home and in public. Dogs are integral parts of the family so it is imperative to have expectations of them and help them be successful. I look forward to speaking with you about yours!

1. Teach the dog with positive reinforcement until he knows what he is supposed to do and commands are known
2. Expect the dog to do what he now knows and reward him for it
3. Guide the dog when he does not perform into a more successful performance
4. Immediately reward when he complies if guidance was needed
The fact is, most dog owners have harnesses or collars on their dogs that they don’t understand the use of. Tools to be successful are necessary in dog training just as they are in other fields. Depending on your dog, he/she may need a specific collar, muzzle work, or a specific lead that makes him/her the most obedient and pleasant living in this world and with your family. It IS possible to love your fur baby AND their behaviors!
If you or someone in your dog’s immediate family are an active duty police officer, retired police officer, active duty military or veteran, you receive a 15% discount on all training services! We appreciate your service to the country.
